Terms & Conditions

Estimates & Quotes

 

Estimate/Quotes for Custom Upholstery work contain all the details about the piece of furniture that we will be working on for you.  Once you approve the order, this same document is used on the shop floor as a Work Order and is the main source of information for your job. 

 

This document supersedes all other communication including conversations, diagrams, photos, emails and discussions. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the details on this document are correct. While we may, occasionally, from time to time, offer input or comments on certain design elements, dimensions, etc. we hold no responsibility should the finished product not meet the needs of the customer as long as we met the specifications on the Estimate / Quote.

Payment

 

All Custom furniture will be retained by The Upholstress Limited until payment is made in full, unless previously arranged.

Dimensions

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that specified dimensions are correct and appropriate for the scale, comfort and use of the desired product. Finished dimensions are +/- 5mm so please plan accordingly. 

Changes & Cancellations

​

At The Upholstress, we provide high-quality upholstery services with a focus on attention to detail and customer satisfaction. We understand that your furniture is an investment, and we want to help you make it last for years to come. Please note, however, that changes or cancellations to upholstery work are not possible after the frames have been stripped and fabric has been cut. We want to ensure that you receive the best possible product, and our policies reflect this commitment to quality.

Shipping

 

We gladly work with any furniture moving company that you choose.  It's always a good idea to check if the shipping company will take all liability while in transit.  We are happy to help load on our end.  Furniture sales are final and can not be returned due to change of mind.  Shipping costs are to be paid by the client before furniture leaves the workshop.

Repairs 

​

Any damages or concerns with construction must be reported within 14 days of receipt of items.  Any damage to custom work caused during the shipping process must be directed towards the carrier responsible for transporting and delivering your order.  While we stand behind our furniture, we can only guarantee the construction of the item which does not include wear and tear.  

Colour Variance

 

We want to ensure that our customers are completely satisfied with their purchases, which is why we recommend seeing a product sample before making a purchase. This can help avoid any potential discrepancies between the colour of the product on your monitor and the actual product.

Free Delivery

 

*Free delivery now till the end of March.  All free delivery excludes Furniture and Custom Upholstery service products.

 

In April we offer free delivery on orders over $250.  All free delivery excludes Furniture and Custom Upholstery service products. We offer a $10 flat rate on shipping under $250 excluding Furniture and Custom Upholstery service products.

Returns

​

We are very proud of the products we carry and believe you will love them.  However, if you are unsure of a product, please visit a local showroom to see samples. If your product is delivered faulty, please contact us with in a week of receiving your goods.
