Am I able to buy a Warwick fabric from you that I don't see on your Website?​

​

Yes, as long as Warwick has stock of the fabric you like we can order it for you.  You can fill in a contact form on our website or email info@theupholstress.com.

Do you sell leather?​

​

We do.  We can purchase leather by the hide for you from our local supplier.  Contact us for further details at info@theupholstress.com. 

Do you make custom cushions?​

​

Yes, we can make custom cushions for your sofa, window seat, or bed.  We can do any size cushions.  Email info@theupholstress.com for your quote. 

 

The most requested cushion sizes are:

  • 60cm x 60cm

  • 50cm x 50cm

  • 40cm x 60cm

 

Do you offer Wholesale?​

​

We do work with companies that need bulk upholstery projects done.  Whether you need bulk cushions, floor cushions, bean bags, or furniture squabs made we have you covered.  Email info@theupholstress.com with the scope of your job.

 

Can you refurbish the wood on my Mid Century furniture?

​

Absolutely.  All you need to do is fill in the furniture quote form and we'll get back to you.  We also encourage you to take on the wood restoration if you are keen.  It's a nice way to add your own stamp on your furniture's makeover. 

Do you stock Weave Home products and Warwick Fabrics in The Upholstress Workshop?

​

Most of our products are shipped directly to you from our New Zealand supplier's warehouse.  Your order will have a track and trace number that we will email you.  Our suppliers get out orders quickly and efficiently.

Where can I see your products in person?

​

Warwick Showrooms have a good selection of Warwick fabrics and Weave Home products.  We also offer fabric off cuts delivered directly to your door.

Do you carry the complete Weave Home range of products?

​

If you see something from Weave Home that is not on our website, we can order that product for you if it is in stock.  You can fill in a contact form on our website or email info@theupholstress.com.  

How long will shipping take?

​

Shipping will take 3 - 7 business days.  Please allow the full 7 working days for Rural New Zealand addresses.  Shipping may take slightly longer during holiday periods due to the high demand on courier companies.

Do you delivery overseas?​

​

There are some products that we are able to ship overseas.  Feel free to email info@theupholstress.com for a quote.

Should I be worried about my rug being delivered?​

​

No need to stress.  All of our rugs get delivered through Mainfreight.  You will receive your track and trace number and will be able to track your rug to your doorstep.  For extra reassurance, Mainfreight also calls you on the day of delivery.

Do you offer Wool cushion inners​?

​

We do offer Wool cushion inners / inserts for any of our cushions.  The shell of the inner / insert is made from 100% cotton with the fill consisting of 100% New Zealand Wool.  Before your place your order please contact us for a quote.  We can offer you a specialized price that is specific to your order.

Where are you located?

​

The Upholstress workshop is located in Auckland, New Zealand.  

How do I order fabric cuttings and samples?

 

Email info@theupholstress.com with the cuttings you would like and NZ delivery address, and we will organize the rest.  You may request up to five fabric samples which will be sent to you free of charge.  We aim to post all requests which are in stock within 48 hours.  Please note delivery time frames will be affected by your delivery address and can take up to 7-10 working days. 

What fabric advice can you give?

  • Look for thick upholstery fabric from a reputable company.  

  • Steer clear of cheaper woven fabrics as it tends to pill after a month or so. 

  • Make sure the patterns and colours are not overly trendy.

  • If your furniture will be near a sunny window, choose lighter colourways for your fabric.

  • Talk to your upholsterer before buying your fabric as they will advise you on how much fabric will be needed.

  • Give design information (e.g. piping, buttons, domes) to your upholsterer if you can.

Do you do custom cut foam?

 

We do custom cut foam in the workshop to fit all sorts of needs including custom window seats, caravans, campers, furniture, and more.  We cover all our foam in wadding to give an added layer of protection against fabric rubbing and wearing on your foam.  This makes a huge difference in extending the lifetime of your fabric and foam.  Email info@theupholstress.com for your quote.
